Overnight care

What is overnight care?

When you need assistance at night, whether to help you with frequent trips to the bathroom, assistance with medication, or specialist dementia care (for example risk of wandering), or simply would like reassurance that a qualified help is there for you if needed, then overnight care is a great option.

We can provide CQC regulated care in your home anywhere in England & Wales.

What help will overnight care involve?

Your overnight carer will assist you with any tasks that you find difficult to achieve on your own, such as:

  • Ensure your medication is given correctly and on time,

  • Assist you to the bathroom and personal care

  • Help you to mobilise about your home

  • Provide reassurance and any other tasks

Types of overnight care

Sleeping Night

This option is great for customers who don’t need assistance more than twice per night. If you find that you are waking up more frequently and require more assistance – then we can reassess your needs. Sleeping Night is when carer sleeps in your home, and is available to assist you up to twice each night.

Waking Night

It requires carer to be awake during the night to undertake any care duties regularly throughout the night. Other duties such as housekeeping, and laundry tasks can also be carried out in between important care provision.

Night Sitting Service

When one of your regular carers needs a break, the sitting service gives you and your loved one reassurance that your night time care needs remain uninterrupted. This is also called Respite Sitting Service.

If you are considering overnight care, starting with a temporary night sitting service, is a great option to see how it works in practice.

What is the cost of overnight care?

Costs will vary depending on the service you require. The short-term night care such as Night sitting service, or Respite Night Sitting Service, is charged at a daily rate, and long terms service: sleeping night and walking night - at the weekly rate.

Whilst the majority of our customers are self-funders, if you have funding approved by your local authority, you may wish to top up the night sitting service costs privately.

Please contact us to discuss your care needs, or funding options.
